Overview

This is an exciting role for a junior Digital Marketing and Marketplace Assistant to be responsible for the creation of a marketing calendar for business to consumer marketing activity. This will include social media activity, website content and an email marketing plan for weekly communication. The role is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of listings on Amazon, Ebay and other marketplaces.

You will be responsible for generating engaging content to drive brand following, awareness and sales of products. Determining with input from merchandising and product teams which ranges and products to feature and when on social media, website and email. Maximizing the interest from film releases, new ranges and exclusive products.

Building social media campaigns, schedule posts, analyze and report on performance, optimizing content on an ongoing basis.

Establishing links with partners to gain coverage in their channels and work collaboratively on competitions and campaigns to increase awareness and sales. Preparation of content for marketplaces to include product descriptions, keywords and image upload.

What you will need:

This position is best suited for a candidate with some prior online marketing experience. Additionally, this team member should have a working knowledge of social media marketing, Hootsuite / Sprout Social or similar.

  • Is eager and able to learn new things and stay on top of current marketing trends
  • Demonstrates strong writing skills
  • Previously used excel and is confident manipulating/updating data in spreadsheets
  • Is social media, web and tech savvy
  • Excellent attention to detail and spelling
  • Uses initiative and can work autonomously, growing social media and online presence, making recommendations to improve the processes and grow the business.
  • Can work to tight deadlines
  • Flexible approach
  • Degree level or relevant industry experience
  • Experience of using Shopify/ Magento or similar content management system and social media tools advantageous.
